About 15 kilometers south of Heart of Polen, Karpacz is another popular destination for winter sports enthusiasts. It features well-groomed ski slopes, snowboarding parks, and other winter activities. The Karpacz Ski Arena and surrounding areas offer great options for skiing and snowboarding.


Just across the Polish-Czech border, Harrachov is approximately 17 kilometers west of Heart of Polen. This charming Czech town is renowned for its winter sports facilities. The Harrachov Ski Resort provides a variety of ski slopes, terrain parks, and ski jumping opportunities. It's a convenient option for those looking to explore winter sports beyond Poland.

Experience the captivating Karkonosze Mountains, stretching around 70 km in length and 8-20 km in width. With the majority located in the Czech Republic, the Polish part is equally enchanting. These mountains boast distinct flora, fauna, waterways, waterfalls, and glacial lakes. Don't miss the unique rock formations like Trzy Świnki and Końskie Łby. The second-highest peak in the Karkonosze mountains, offers a unique alpine climate. Despite its moderate elevation, it features striking greenish-yellow lichens. The nearby Hala Szrenicka was historically significant, as it was a gathering place for Walonowie prospectors. Access to Szrenica is convenient, with a lift from Szklarska Poręba or hiking trails from the Kamieńczyk Waterfall. The mountain hut at the summit is perfect for hikers and hosts seminars, conferences, and special events. Enjoy delicious meals from 6 zł to 22 zł until 19:00 (buffet open until 20:00). Szrenica is a beautiful retreat in the Karkonosze mountains.

Złoty Widok

Perched at an elevation of 610 meters above sea level, Złoty Widok offers an unparalleled panoramic view of the entire Karkonosze mountain range. This natural marvel is a steep rocky crest, standing tall at heights of up to 20 meters, constructed from Karkonosze granite. Below unfolds the picturesque Kamienne valley.

Nearby, you'll find Chybotek and the Karkonosze Mountains' legendary figure's resting place, Grób Karkonosza.

Wodospad Szklarki

Visit the upper part of the waterfall from the Kamieńczyk shelter and explore the lower part with an optional entrance fee.
